![]() ![]() Trine 2 has coop, it's a platformer but with puzzle elements so you have to work together rather than just run around jumping on stuff.Rayman Legends looks and sounds completely gorgeous, and is a fun little platformer.I played the beta and that game is pretty fun, if you like citybuilders! Anno 1800 is scheduled to have a two player coop mode where you're both managing the same city.Sea Of Thieves is really fun with two or more people and is another game which you can pick up and play without lengthy tutorials, and can put down at any time without losing your progress.I'd especially recommend it because it's broken up into chapters, so if you can only play for 20-30 minutes at a time it does a good job of giving you natural breaks. The story itself is a bit of a mess but when we played together we were just making fun of it and goofing around. Beyond Two Souls, which was surprisingly entertaining to play coop. It's a pretty average game but it's been designed from the ground up around coop. Divinity Original Sin 2, because it does a great job of letting you work together or wander off on your own but still lets you teleport to one another instantly whenever you need to. ![]() We also prefer working together rather than competitively. Because of that we tend to enjoy playing stuff together where we're both on even footing, even if the games themselves aren't stunners. I frequently have the same issue my girlfriend plays a lot of games and she's really good at them, so she tends to get frustrated by any "Girlfriend mode" or co-op experience where player 2 is given less agency than player 1. Last suggestion: Slay the Spire isn't a direct co-op game (you aren't playing at the same time), but we have had a LOT of fun playing that and looking over each other's shoulder and helping out. It's still a great concept though, even if it works better with 4 people than with 2 IMO (same for Lovers in a Dangers Spacetime, I would argue).Īlso, both Lara Croft games are freaking great and every time I see them mentioned in any way I just hope that they'll someday make a new one! Castle Crashers is simple but good, and in the same vein, once we gave Full Metal Furies an honest shot we really fell in love with it! That game got so stressful for my wife she had to quit. I love Puyo Puyo Tetris too as a suggestion, but I would say tread lightly with Overcooked, depending on how competitive either of you are. ![]() Just a great way to relax with your partner and enjoy an already wonderful game, and your level of control over the financials means you can basically have it be as easy or as challenging as you like. Stardew Valley co-op is an absolute blast if you like the game. Second Divinity 2! It's really great and pretty easy to learn, and the amount of strategy means you're both interacting with each other and the game between your individual turns. ![]()
